Create the unexpected

From the unique to the boutique, the city’s venues are at your disposal.

Compact and cosmopolitan Leeds offers a wealth of venues, attracting visitors for world-class sport, large scale association conferences, live music and cultural events.

It’s fair to say we know how to put on a show. In 2013 we hosted the BBC Sports Personality of the Year at first direct Arena. In 2014 Le Grand Départ of the Tour de France included events at The Headrow, Harewood House and White Cloth Gallery, while the National Teach First conference took over the city’s universities and even saw delegates take part in the annual Leeds 10k.

For 2015, we’re looking forward to welcoming Rugby World Cup 2015, Leeds International Piano Forte Competition and the International Association of Town Centre Managers annual conference.

Leeds is home to over 189 venues, of which 18 have AIM accreditation, with an unprecedented 4 gold awards. With our exciting venues working in partnership to deliver multiple venue large scale conferences and events, including three major universities, the new first direct Arena and the world renowned Royal Armouries, it’s easy to see why Leeds’ conferencing city proposition puts the city in the top five UK conferencing destinations.

The city is also home to one-off spaces, civic venues and heritage sites, including Harewood House, Leeds Town Hall and Elland Road. Our planning team can also offer sports grounds and stunning parks as possible venues, ensuring your event location is anything but ordinary.

Key to the offer in Leeds is the way in which our venues work together; we offer unrivalled access to city centre venues, who will work in partnership to ensure the whole city is at your disposal and your chosen combination of venues is truly tailor made.
