The Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is entering an important new phase in delivering it’s vision for transformational economic growth.

The LEP Trade & Investment team promotes the Leeds City Region’s interests on a national and international scale, securing inward investment, jobs and growth.

The Role

The role of Business Operations Executive will underpin the activities of the team and its related business development and marketing plans including;

  • Providing budget forecasts and expenditure reports working closely with Managers within the team
  • Ensuring financial processes in respect of procurement are adhered to across the team
  • Processing monthly expenses and credit card claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Developing and maintaining team governance in line with corporate policies and procedures including the production of the monthly performance dashboard and preparation of papers for regular panels and Board meetings.

Experience of analysing and reconciling financial information utilising MS Excel formulas is required as well as familiarity in using financial software packages.

Our 2017-18 business plan sets out an exciting series of lead generation and profile-raising activities, promoting Leeds City Region as an attractive inward investment destination. You will play a central role in the project management approach to these initiatives including;

  • Ensuring key milestones are met and monitoring of each activity is undertaken. A
  • Taking a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating any project risks.

You will work in close coordination with Sector Managers responsible for the Health, Manufacturing and Digital sectors as well as the Marketing team. A working knowledge of MS Project would be beneficial but not essential.

In addition, you will have has operational line management responsibility for the Business Operations Administrator who primarily provides administrative support to the Head of Trade & Inward Investment.

A strong commercial focus and experience of a fast paced, client-driven approach and working environment is required.

To enable a smooth handover with the existing post-holder prior to their maternity leave, we expect the successful applicant to be in post by late July/early August.
