In 2014 French company Sanef opened a new base in the heart of Leeds’ most well-established premises, occupying three floors in the St John’s Centre on Albion Street. Located on Leeds City Loop and in the heart of the shopping district, the St John’s Centre enjoys a prime location opposite The Light development - just a short walk from Leeds City Railway Station and with excellent bus links bringing employees in from the ‘golden triangle’ that includes York and Harrogate.
This is their first client service centre in the UK, acquired to house a prestigious new £1m state-of-the-art front line customer support centre, creating 350 skilled jobs and opening up employment opportunities for a specialist group of customer servicing staff.
The centre will manage the customer service operation for the Dartford Crossing in Kent, which forms part of the largest programme of UK road enhancements since the 1970’s and will improve journeys and reduce congestion. Instead of stopping at payment booths, new technology gives drivers more flexibility about how and when they pay the charge.
"Time was of the essence due to pressing deadlines and our critical position within the UK road network. Road users from across the UK rely on being able to pass effortlessly through the Dartford Tunnel, so to get this operation up and running, we needed expert, accurate information and quick and direct access to the people and resources to make everything happen.
Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership cut out a lot of background research, streamlining our due diligence and site surveys as well as brokering relationships with the right recruiters"
Charles Hewson, CEO, Sanef
It was access to a well-skilled and technologically capable workforce that brought Sanef to the city, as they worked with Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership to quickly fill a requirement for data monitoring specialists, client service managers and employees who offered specialist skills to support our business.
