This event is targeted at CEO’s and decision makers within UK and US businesses keen to understand how they can exploit their relationship with US businesses. 

Featuring presentations by Professors David Deeds and Peter Young, two leading academics of Business and Enterprise from the University of St Thomas, Minneapolis, USA; home of 3M. David and Peter have worked closely with many of the US’s biggest and most influential companies and will share their knowledge and expertise with the audience, giving us a unique insight into the dynamics of American corporate alliances and risk leadership.The event will also offer an opportunity to find out more about the support available to businesses looking to trade with the USA from colleagues at UKTI (UK Trade and Investment).

 

Speakers

David Deeds - Professor of Entrepreneurship at St Thomas University Minneapolis USA

David is the Schulze Professor of Entrepreneurship and director of the Morrison Center. Prior to coming to St. Thomas, hewas a professor at the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management and academic director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Peter Young - Professor of Management at St Thomas University Minneapolis USAPeter holds the 3M Endowed Chair in International Business, and in that position is responsible for global business education initiatives at the Opus College of Business. From 1994-2011, he held the E. W. Blanch Senior Chair in Risk Management in the Opus College of Business. In that capacity, he was (and remains) responsible for the UST MBA courses and non-degree programs in risk management.
